            1. Nadine Ijewere



Did you know that up until Nadine Ijewere made a shift in 2019, there has never been photographs of a woman of color on the cover of a Vogue edition in its 125-year history? She became the first woman of color to photograph the cover. Amazing, isn’t it? She has photographed numerous issues of i-D, Garage, WSJ. Magazine, Allure, British Vogue, and some A-list Hollywood celebrities. She particularly focuses on the themes of identity and diversity. She is influenced by her Nigerian and Jamaican roots.

   2. So Uniq Imagery

So_Uniqimagery by Faith Oguche is a Nigeria/ UK based top notch Nigeria hottest photographer exploring the United Kingdom. Her consistency overtime has contributed to her sudden popularity in the world of photography. A BSC and MSC holder at Kogi State University Nigeria and Bradford University, England. So_uniqimagery or So Uniq Imagery have won so many awards including Studio 24 Award , Bradford University Award, Africans247 Award etc. 

3. Kelechi Amadi Obi

 Kelechi Amadi-Obi is a well-known face in the photography industry. Art is his full-time job & passion. He has gained international renown in both photography and art.  He has worked with reputable brands such as MTN Nigeria, Guinness Nigeria, and PZ Nigeria PLC. The Ford Foundation, Nigeria PLC, British American Tobacco, Prima Garnet Ogilvy, SO&U, Insight Grey, Nigerian Flour Mills, and Orange Drugs Nigeria Ltd. These are just a few of the many notable brands on his long list of clients. 

4.Ty Bello

Do you remember the story of the bread seller who became a model? Or the song the Land is Green? Well, I do. TY Bello is known for taking Olajumoke Orisaguna, a bread seller, to the limelight and turning her into a model. She is a singer and a fantastic photographer. The former member of the disbanded Kush party was the official photographer of the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan. She also works with ThisDay lifestyle magazine. 

5. Lakin Ogunbawo


Lakin Ogunbanwo takes fascinating portraits with a rebellious aura. His use of vibrant flat color and bold compositions form a more minimalist homage to the African studio photography popular in the 1960s and 70s. He has featured in publications such as the New York Times, I-D, GQ, Vogue Italia, Riposte Magazine, Riposte, and many more. He has also been recognized by the British Journal of Photography as one of 25 Ones to Watch.
