Wado City Train Station Ujevwu(Wado)  – Itakpe / Uromi Train Schedule & Ticket Prices (2023) by Africans247 .  The Ujevwu(Wado) -Itakpe Train Service is a railway system in Nigeria connecting the new city of Wado to the inland town of Itakpe. This railway project began in 1987 with the goal of supplying iron ore and coal to the Ajaokuta Steel Mill.  After more than 30 years of construction, it was inaugurated in 2020, serving both freight and passengers. Originally, the railway was intended to transport iron ore to the steel mill. However, it was extended to Wado, metropolitan city near the Atlantic Ocean. In 2017, work resumed with the help of the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.
